consulting: community & voices
The Werk*
Joshua’s efforts span national service organizations, grassroots networks, and independent platforms, all with the primary goal of amplifying marginalized voices and building community through powerful communications strategy and storytelling. He has led campaigns that expand visibility, influence policy, and strengthen trust, while creating and sustaining spaces for artists and communities whose voices are too often sidelined.
Through his unique skillsets, Joshua has launched new initiatives and revitalized existing projects that center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+, and rural communities — weaving communications, advocacy, and culture into strategies that preserve legacies and shape the future.
(Joshua intentionally uses “werk” in place of “work” to both honor his late friend, artist/teacher/choreographer Marcus R. White, and to incorporate queer cultural nods and norms.)
